Korean National Health Insurance

Korean National Health Insurance (NHI) provides comprehensive coverage for a range of medical services, including in-patient and out-patient care, pregnancy and childbirth, health check-ups, and prescription medications. Houm fully participates in the National Health Insurance (NHI) system, as required by law for all hospitals and clinics in Korea.

· KRW 1,400,000 for a twin pregnancy
Outpatient
Doctor’s Consultation
The basic consultation fee at Houm averages between 4,000 and 6,000 Korean won.
Cancer Screening Check up
· Pap smears: Free for women over 21 every other year.
· Mammograms: Available for women over 40. Depending on the individual, there may be a 10% co-payment, approximately 5,000 KRW.
